I found out that my grandpa passed away at 7 PM yesterday. My grandparents were driving home from their favorite diner when my grandma noticed that my grandpa stopped responding to her talking to him…
It was already too late by the time she got him to the ambulance.
My grandpa was a very noble man; back in the days when mining was the only way to make money, my grandfather worked to support his family. In the end he ended up with mesothelioma 🙁 all he wanted to do was give his family a good life and he got fucked over in the end.
It was literally less than a month away from their 50th aniversary. now we have to plan a funeral instead of a party….

Wow dude I’m so sorry for your loss. My grandpa (dad’s dad) was a coal miner as well and ended up with black lung. Always cherish the time you got to spend with him. You’re in my thoughts.

I know how you feel, I lost two grandparents this year. One of them deteriorated so badly that the only person she recognized was my grandpa. Alzheimers to dementia… what a terrible way to go out, and one of the nicest ladies I’ve known
