OMG, I bought a
American Weigh Gemini-20 Portable Milligram Scale, 20 by 0.001 G
by American Weigh – on Amazon, and it was junk, gave error messages, would not calibrate, arghhh.

I know you must pick 2 of 3 (cheap, accurate to 1 milligram, reliable) – any suggestions for an under-$100 digital mg scale to measure blends and stuff accurately?

This one?

Have had this same one for a while now and have not had any problems with it besides the usual ~3-5 mg tolerance or so.
Yeh that could be fatal, but I’m no dummy with it. LOL.
Does what I need to be done anyways  :dance

Guarantee there are better, especially for under a bill if that’s the limit.
I’d even say you’d have a decent bet with a budget of $50.  :biggrin

Yeh, don’t listen to me if this is for something to be weighed at ~1 mg. Kinda tough to get there on those posted above by me.
But I’ve did it from time to time. Not for the faint of heart tho. For realz.

I had that scale SSF. It wasn’t too bad but I found a little medicine cup that fit that hole. it was easier to deal with but the product stuck to the sides.

.001 is a milligram. I hope you are not searching by typing .1 scale.

I have the one in the picture… it’s definitely good enough to make your own blends, where you’re always dealing in much larger amounts than single milligrams, but you’d definitely want something higher end if you’re measuring out individual doses.

They become much more trustable when you add a check weight set for single use you may want a .010gr checkweight
in your set

Try Ebay for a used one.  There are thousands of Mettler AE 163 models out there that will do the job nicely, and lots of used ones available.  Just keep looking.

http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Gemini-20-Portable-Milligram/dp/B0012TDNAM

snagged this last month..lol..and now it only costs 20 bux..damn ..I paid 40…

I really like it..seems to be pretty damn accurate. Of course my blend making is usually just dumping as much as I can get to dissolve it grain alcohol..

Anywho this scale is on sale for 21 bux

I have a couple of those scales.  I would trust them to weigh down to a tenth gram or maybe even a 20th of a gram (100/50mg) but it isnt sensitive enough to accurately weigh 1 mg.  The scale is only accurate to 5 mg either way.

You can mitigate that with the Tiberius method–make 50 or 100 doses at a time (like make an ounce of blends at one time) because an inaccuracy of over or under by 5 or 10 milligrams is a lot less noticable when spread our over 100 doses.

Huh…

"The Gemini-20 milligram scale offers a 1 milligram readability with a 20 gram capacity"
Amazon got me again..

guess false advertising.?.lol..but yeah I don’t really have a huge purpose for a scale the way I make it..

come to think about it I did have a slight issue before I used the calibration weight the first time..

Just from a vendor profit angel I can see how a very accurate scale could save you X amount of profit down the road..

I have not found a Cannaboid yet that needed that kind of Accuracy .
