Seems like most of you are console gamers, but does anyone game on the PC? If you have a Steam account, post your name! Mine is MattyWiggles and I’m usually on throughout the day. I don’t have a good PC though, so most of my games are on the older side. I run an old 9600GT, so Xbox 360 graphics are about as far as I can go for now. If anyone wants, please post your computer set up, specs or whatever else you wish.

Hahaha nice. Mine is so out of date it isn’t funny. Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 6GB DDR2 Ram, GeForce 9600GT, 1 640GB HD & 1 2TB HD. It was just a Dell I bought years back for $500. Did rather well for me for a while, but now it’s getting to the point where I can no longer play the newer titles. My brother had a really nice MSI gaming laptop that he won online….only for it to blow up twice. First time right out of the box and the second a week ago. Sadly we don’t think MSI is going to help him out so it’s probably going to go on ebay and hopefully get some money for it. A real shame too since it was a beastie of a laptop. Pretty much showed me though that gaming desktops>laptops every time.

I did the same thing,  I pretty much have gutted the whole tower and replaced or upgraded the hell out of it.  It started off as a dual core 1.6ghz, with 2 gb ram, shitty graphics card.  That is crazy about the MSi product, I always thought they were a pretty good company, never personally owned any of there stuff I just always heard good things about them.

Same here, but it seems like the motherboards they use cannot deal with the extreme heat that machine produces. I just feel bad for the kid since now all he has is a single core laptop I fixed up that is running Ubuntu. At least he can go online haha.

BUT, mine is running windows 8 and does not support steam or most games? wtf…

that’s why I always end up down here on my old PC..

Well guys , for being in I.T. for most of my life I never had a current gaming pc. I was always a little behind. My last rig which I only retired two weeks ago was a P4 hyperthread  8x AGP radeon X1600 1Gb DDR2. 2gb Corsair XMS.

I just got up to what you all are calling old rigs. A Dell Vostro. Intel® Core™2 Quad 2.33, 120 mb SSD on the way for OS. 500gb Main drive 4 gb ram. Radeon XFXHD6570 2Gb DDR3.

I only recently got a steam account and have been stuck playing old school games for years. I have some catching up to do but this rig will play some decent games.

My brother ran Windows 8 and told me he always had problems running games. Never had a single problem with Windows 7.

I have W8 on a new gaming laptop and some games run buttery smooth, like Battlefield 4 on ultra settings, I’ve had problems with a few like Fallout 3, but that could be because of them removing the Game for Windows live requirement from them. If you have Windows 8 make sure to get a program called start8 so you don’t have to deal with the lame ass UI. Got it to boot straight to desktop so I never have to look at Metro lol

Nah. I find those apps are usually total BS. 😀
