After a week on this kava, I can say it is actually better for me than Solomon kava from nakamal at home. Put it to the real test last night. Pulled my groin muscle at work, then drank my sixteen ounces of this miracle liquid, and the pain was dramatically reduced!! Excellent stuff!!

Bula kava house for the win!! My recipe is 5 tbsp of root powder, 1 cup hot (but not boiling) water, 1 cup cold milk and 4 tsp canola oil. Sounds nasty but the fat in the milk and oil gives the fat necessary to draw out more of the kavalactones. Soak for 30-60 minutes, then pour into a bowl covered with a stretched nylon over it. Knead and squeeze for about 5-10 minutes. Another tip is be sure your stomach is COMPLETELY empty as it helps you absorb maximum kavalactones… Keep at it for a few days, even if you don’t feel much. Get that reverse tolerance down…

I just ordered some Vanuatu from Kava by rex.  They had good stuff before.  I’ve had profound effects and a lot of fun with kava.

I think the key is getting it out of the herb, the lipid soluble lactones, so they can be absorbed.  I always massaged it in a sock or muslin bag in a bowl submerged, until it didn’t feel squishy anymore or oily but felt grainy and sandy.  Always worked great, never wasted a drop.

I think I will give in & also squeeze the kava again. Does seem the best method in my experience.

I also think it’s fuller "flavor" than instants/pastes. More notes in that song.

I have tried Kava Before but not for any other reason than just to relax without using Alcohol back when I used to drink.

But sounds like it’s helping you a lot. And any natural substance which can help is A+ in my book. I am going to have to not eat so I can order some KRATOM plants, so I have some on hand before our insane government makes it illegal to have KRATOM !

I use a pair of Nylons to strain and massage, and I resoak twice..

It has areverse tolerance so the first few times are nothing special..just a bit of numbness…but after about four or five days it gets real…

My Fav Is Stone Kava…from Nakamal at home

http://www.nakamalathome.com/

you have to have some soy lecithin  to help make it active.

I use vegetable oil. It’s not necessary obviously, as the islanders just use water and they’ve been doing it for thousands of years that way…

the stuff does nothing for me except make my lips numb

It feels good to be running from the devil
Another breath and I'm up another level
It feels good to be up above the clouds
It feels good for the first time in a long time now

Kava definitely doesn’t work on everyone…

I tried it years ago, and it didn’t do enough for me to pursue it. Since I found Kratom, I don’t really see the point of going through the Kava hassle when a quick Kratom toss and wash gets the job done – and nicely at that! I don’t even see the point in hassling with Kratom tea, for that matter, but to each their own.

Perhaps I’m missing out, though. How do you folks that use both compare the two? Is one better than the other, or are they fairly similar experiences?

It definitely works on my depression, anxiety and pain. It just works well with my body chemistry. Bulakavahouse so far has had the highest quality root for the best price in my opinion…

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I think I still have a couple of instant Kava samples laying around from a great vendor. I’m sure I won’t be doing it like I should, but I’ll check them out just the same. Hate to see it go to waste and all… ;D

Kratom is totally different from kava, although they do complement each other. Kratom is all about your opiate receptors, kava acts on benzo pathways (xanax). Kratom definitely has an addiction element, some say kava does also but most say not… Just in case I don’t kava every day… I’m already on the kratom train.

Also, best of luck with your kratom trees. Scale got mine, one still alive but no leaves, hope it comes back. I was surprised, felt I’d have better luck as I have several tropical houseplants years old. But those damn scale bugs got em…
